Soccer All Star Select Teams

Vision

CCV Stars Club Soccer will be hosting its annual Champions Cup Tournament January 14-16, 2022. The tournament will include approximately 400 U7-U14 boys and girls club teams from around the state and southwest region. CCV Stars intends to enter Select team(s), comprised of players from the fall 2021 recreational and competitive CCV Stars programs (exceptions must be approved by Stars Lead Pastor).

Tryouts & Team Selection

Unlike the first come-first served basis of Rec & Competitive Soccer, players will have to try out and be selected for these teams. That does mean that some players will not be able to participate on the tournament teams. Each player will have the opportunity to attend two tryouts; attendance at both is not required to be selected but certainly recommended.

Time Commitment

Once the teams are selected, they will likely train 2 times during the week as well as Saturday training sessions or scrimmages for five weeks to prepare for the tournament. Teams will take two weeks off during Christmas break but are encouraged to participate in the CCV Stars Winter camps to stay sharp.

Price to Participate

There could be a small fee to try out for the team but that will cover 3 hours of training/evaluation by our club coaches. Players selected to the squad will pay an additional fee which will include two new game jerseys, socks, five weeks of training (including goalkeeping specific sessions), and the team tournament fee which includes a minimum of three games.
