The rainy season has started again but, thank God, the construction processes are 90% complete! The classroom area is finished, painted, and in use. The multipurpose area is having windows installed, and the kitchen is being outfitted and the roof installed. Bathrooms are installed and operational. In the next few months, we will continue installing windows and electric, as well as filling the patio and setting up a main gate for security purposes.
In our ministries, we began hosting the sponsored children weekly back in May! Children now attend at least once a week. We’ve also seen a brother who was far from God reconciled to him – praise God! Despite the rain, our evangelism cells are activated, holding meetings once a week. We also continue to link mothers to Sunday school services.
Though things are going well, we have faced some issues. Because of the rainy season, our church services have been limited to Sundays. Another issue we face is the condition of the access roads due to the rain and the lack of access to drinking water in the area. For this reason, in the child development center, we must purchase bottled water. Also, we still do not have municipal networks of water and electricity. However, thanks to God, together with the community, we managed to install a community sewage system, which covers the entire central street of the project, and thanks to which the entire community of the sector can have access to basic sanitary services. This system will benefit an average of 120 families in this area! The installation of the sewer system, led by the church, gives us the opportunity to be promoters of resources and projects that benefit this community.
· That government authorities can respond to the basic needs of this population, through electricity services and drinking water
· We ask you to accompany us in prayer, so that the Lord each day adds to those who are being saved, and that He would bring leaders committed to the preaching of the word but also may have a special feeling for the needs of this population
Also, we ask you pray that God may open doors for us in the achievement of new lands that allow us to fulfill the dream of building an integral educational play facility where children can develop through play.
