Greetings Christ’s Church of the Valley! We are so excited to share with you our final report and update of our new plant!!
The start of our church has had a great impact on the community, generating a safe place, especially for the children who need safety and protection. This Development Center offers assistance in the four development areas: cognitive, spiritual, social and physical. This offers holistic attention to children in the community, decreases child malnutrition rates, and strengthens the development of cognitive and social skills.
200 children have been registered and have begun attending the church. The caregivers have been trained by the mother church to help the children within the new development center, in guidance skills, and advice to families. Children attend at different times; they received curricular classes and food twice a week. It has begun with hygiene practices, nutritional support and initial medical-pediatric checkups. Parents, project staff, and volunteers are holding workshops on child protection, (advocacy workshops). The participation of the family in each meeting and activity has been very important.
The opening service of the new church and development center was attended by the community authorities, pastors of the daughter church, and the mother church.
With the beginning of this new church, we have been able to see the children enjoy spaces that also contribute to their socialization and development process. 100% of children receive nutritious food through the lunches offered in the new development center. All of children have received their first lessons on good hygiene practices in hand washing before eating and after using the bathrooms.
100% of parents have shared moments with their children in the new church and feel committed to the activities the church does for their children. All of the families have had clear participation in the parents' school meetings. We have seen bonds of trust between the church and the family developing. Families are more open to listen to the message of salvation. The family dynamics of the beneficiaries has changed due to the Gospel. The lifestyle of families has changed considerably.
