Across West Virginia’s Appalachian mountains, many pastors are sacrificially serving in their communities to walk with people towards a more flourishing future. A couple of specific opportunities have been identified as priority projects, and through Convoy of Hope’s Rural Initiatives and Mission Teams, we’re honored to partner with these heroes and the work they are doing.

Areas where we work are often remote with no cell phone service and limited internet access. Despite the seclusion, Convoy of Hope is committed to helping fight poverty and hopelessness in the region. Team members walk alongside the local church by serving widows, the underprivileged, children, and those impacted by opioid addiction. For many, this will be a cross-cultural experience that allows those from various walks of life to connect and learn from each other.

Who can go:

• Participants must be at least 18 years old and can travel alone, and in good physical health

What are the requirements:

• Attend CCV's Starting Point class (if you haven't already)
• Complete a CCV Missions background check.
• Each team member will be required to attend all pre-trip preparation meetings. Times and Location TBD. Your trip leader will set all dates and times and will communicate with you

Trip Cost: $1200

• Included in this fee:  Round trip Airfare from Phoenix to Virginia, accommodations, transportation and meals while in country. This fee also covers medical insurance, luggage fees, and pre-trip materials.
  
• Not included: Passport fees, any shots you elect to get, and any personal spending money for meals during travel and souvenirs.

Payment Schedule:

• $200 deposit per person is non-refundable at the time of registration.
• Final balance is due by July 1, 2024. If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket.
• FUNDRAISING INFORMATION:  We absolutely encourage fundraising. Very few people pay for the trip on their own. More information will be provide for you.
